It is also the world’s best and most reliable meeting place for friendly dolphins and an amazing collection of marine life. These dolphins have come to the beach for over 40 years. They are wild, native to the area and visit of their own accord up to three times per day where four adult female dolphins and their children swim in the shallows near the beach to be fed.

Generally, ten dolphins visit Monkey Mia – although the record is 23 dolphins all turning up at once. The dolphins are widely loved and closely studied. Researchers from around the world come to Monkey Mia to study them.

The friendly dolphins are just the beginning … there’s heaps to see and do – catamaran cruises on the famous ‘Shotover’, camel rides, kayaking, snorkeling, 4WD tours, aboriginal cultural walks, astronomy and dive tours, just to name a few.
