This book is authored by Howard Gliddon who has fished the waters surrounding Kalbarri for over 25 years.

This guide is for beach fishing and appeals to people who want information on fishing locations and tips on how to fish those locations. The book also contains sections on the fish species of "Mulloway" and "Tailor" and the best methods, bait and tips to catch these fish. Included is a section on River Fishing. Fantastic year round shore and boat fishing that is easily accessible is what Kalbarri is renown for. Red Bluff Beach lays claim to being Australia’s best beach for tailor. Mulloway and silver bream are also target catches for shore anglers. Chinaman’s Rock is better known for reef fishing where tailor, mulloway, mackeral, cod and general reef fish can be caught.

Reef fishing at Wageo has long been regarded as a popular spot however is on private property (Contact details available in the Accommodation Section).

Caution: Keep in mind that most of the reefs and rocky shoreline can be dangerous
under rough or inclement weather conditions. Accessing the ocean via the river mouth can be hazardous under certain conditions. The "Voluntary Marine Rescue" can  be contacted for helpful information and advice. Your safety is paramount - if unsure seek advice.

Equipment includes Latest Colour Sounder, GPS Satellite Navigation and Waypoints Plotted, 27 Meg Radio, 200 Litre Below Deck Fuel Tank, Live Bait Tank, Inbuilt Esky- Gaff and Burly Bucket. Licensed for 6 persons with quality rods and reel hire available.
